Who is Imagine?

Imagine is a program of Jeunesses Musicales International.


The Imagine 2011 series of concerts is a collaboration between Jeunesses Musicales International, Jeugd en Muziek and Jeunnesses Musicales de la Communauté Francaise.

Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI) is the largest youth music NGO in the world, created in Brussels (Belgium) in 1945 with the mission to "enable young people to develop through music across all boundaries".
With member organizations currently in 45 countries and contact organizations in another 35, JMI is a global network providing opportunities for young people to engage with music. The JMI network reaches over 5 million young people aged 13-30 per year through some 36,000 activities, which embrace all styles of music, and coordinates cross-border exchange opportunities on the international level.

Jeunnesses Musicales de Communauté la Francaise provides 23,000 musical awakening workshops, 1200 concerts in schools, 350 public concerts and more than 14,000 hours of training per year, aiming at 400,000 young people aged 0-18 years.

Jeugd en Muziek Vlaanderen runs more than 2,000 activities (music courses, workshops, performances in public schools, festivals) that reach over 200,000 young people and children each year.
