Konkalazi on their first European tour

After taking the laurels at the Music Crossroads Inter Regional Finals this year, the Malawian afro-funky ensemble embarked on a month long tour through Europe in June, as part of their prize. The fantastic 5 landed in Spain where they had 3 gigs in San Cugat and Banyoles and then went to Holland, Sweden and Norway.

Their sheer enthusiasm, funky sounds and positive energy charmed everybody along the way.

They got back to Lilongwe on 26 June to participate in a 1 week workshop to prepare a joint performance with Norwegian folk band Svermere and begin working on their first album.
